Meet the founders- Stephen and Monika Howard
Howard's Hound Haven was a dream of Monika's. As an avid animal lover and advocate, her dream was to help dogs get a second chance and not be needlessly euthanized at our local shelters due to overcrowding or being misunderstood.
Although we both work full time in K-12 education, every day you will find us feeding, watering, and playing with the Haven pittie crew. Farm chores for the other rescued animals, including sheep, goats, chickens and ducks keep us young.

This is Mickey. He has a hidden Mickey on his cute little nose. He is about a year old and is a total love bug.
Summer Rose is about a year old and a very fun girl.
Deuces is dog friendly and the best hugger
This Mookie. He is about 18 months
Sarge is the sweet and friendly. He is a sheppard/pit mix and about 2 years old
Truckee is a Pit/Mastiff and about 2 years old. Truckee is very trainable and food motivated
Dunkaroo or Dunks as we call him is a gentle, older boy who loves belly rubs and would do best as an only dog. He is about 5 years old
Minnie is a sweet girl who is deaf and will need some patience and reassurance to help her be less anxious.
Macchiato is a dog friendly 1 year old male
Montana had a rough start, due to abuse he entered the shelter with burns on his back legs and a broken right leg. He walks kinda funny and needs some training to walk on a leash, but could not be a nicer dog. He is big and little dog friendly.

Hello My name is Lizzy and I was a former ESA service dog. I am a mix of a bunch of breeds and about the sweetest girl ever. I would like to be an only dog, but I don't mind seeing dogs, just want to be the Queen of the house. I am about 6 years young.

Pebbles is a petite lab, probably about 5 years old
Loops is a mix of sugar and spice and roughly the same age.
